Project I am about to embark on needs a fair bit of curved profiles, (lancet head windows) 56mm thick, I have in the past run thinner curved parts either on my high spec table mounted router with a bearing guided 1/2" X 50mm straight cutter (too shallow) or set my bigger spindle moulder up with my CMT planer head with top bearing giving me 80mm.
I have a small Sheppach spindle moulder hidden away I would like to use in this case to avoid having to swap out on the big SM, upshot is the CMT head with the bearing on doesn't allow me enough on the shaft to put the top nut on, so useless in this case, my thoughts are to ditch the bearing and either make or buy a ring fence.
Had a look around the usual places to buy one and very few options come up, (AXI for example @ £120.00) so I am leaning towards making a simple wood solution, I have a ring guard that fits the Sheppach so its just looking a fence solution, if any one has any advice, please.
