• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Well it's hot and I don't have the appetite I used to have, so I was looking round for a recipe for something light but tasty.

I found a recipe for courgette soup and, as I appear to have grown an absolutely massive courgette, I thought it would be perfect. So I roasted my courgette, made a soffritto, boiled some potatoes and added the courgette. Whizzed it all together and tasted it. OK, but a bit bland. Added some black pepper and Maggi. Needs more salt.

So I got my tub of sea salt from the cupboard and shook it over the pot. Not much came out, so I shook harder. The top came off, the entire tub went into the pot.

The whole lot is now on the compost heap :(

Anyone got a plate of dinner going begging?

I just shook my head when I read this,

I'll refrain from repeating the comments the Boss who remembers meeting you on occasions at the various wood events came out with.

Get a salt pig.
I've got one. Well it's a salt frog actually. I like it, she doesn't, so it's been hidden at the back of a cupboard

I assume it was along the lines of, "Well he looks like a right plonker!"

Didn't weigh them but after 10 days away 2 buckets loads of apples, windfalls, went on the compost heap.

For excess courgettes, or marrows, try this
Plenty of pectin needed to get it to set.
