Although the deck/verandah/roof has been taking a lot of my time, I've still been pootling in the creative annexe trying to be creative with secondhand/used/preloved stuff.
Fist, I found an ex demo Axminster Trade bench top Pillar Drill on Facebook Marketplace and moved my older secondhand one on to my son.
Next, one of the mates helping me with the roof brought round an old piece of laminate worktop to cut a hole for a sink unit in his utility of the house he's just moved into. So, I used the cutout to make a table to sit on the drill cast table and used some of Coley's dog ends to border it with oak and make the table clamps.
Next, I was fortunate to find some Tee Track and jig making knobs, bolts screws etc again on Facebook Marketplace. Some of them had been preused, but most were new. I also found some good value aluminium extrusion 60x30 from a firm in Leicester.
I dadoed a couple of grooves for the track, made a couple of stops for the fence and routed out an aperture to drop the sacrificial lump in, et voila, as they say en France. ('scuse the absence of the accent)
