Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Mine is 28 ft x 24 ft with 12 ft high ceiling.

Stand alone, the shop is about a third of the building. I have two 12 by 22 ft bays for wood, tool and supply storage. Which is perfect for additional assemble area. The art work is to break up the drab OSB. The dust collector is in one of the bays.Everything's big in Canada!!

Very envious of your space! It gets very cold where you are I expect, hoe long does it take for the woodburner to take the chill off? I’m facing a similar challenge at the mo with a high ceilinged garage. I’m obviously a delicate soul and dislike working with cold metal equipment and tools.

The shop is insulated so when it is minus 40 C the temp without a fire will be around - 12 inside. I will start the fire in the morning and can get the inside temp to around 10 C within an hour. Also use a fan behind wood stove to circulate the air. Often will work with a t shirt in winter. In regards to cooling ,I keep the doors closed and it feels like working in an air conditioned shop when it is say 27 C outside.
