Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

There's a campaign locally for the innards to be used or composted and not finish up in the rubbish - the Councils have to deal with tonnes of it.

Nice one Andy - very good. I remember last year's. 
We've drawn all of our curtains and shut the door from the hall into the living room. We're a miserable pair of plonkers. :lol: Mind you, I don't think any kiddies will be knocking our door because of the houndies. Our dogs go crazy when someone knocks and they normally hurl themselves at the door whilst barking. I bet the little nippers are walking our street saying "What ever you do, don't knock at number 23 - the house with all them motors on the drive." :lol:

I think you should leave the door open with the dogs on a lead that stops them just short of the door jam. It's halloween so scrare the living daylights out of the blighters.

The innards get mushed and put in a pie, the seeds get roasted and the finished pumpkin normally ends up as the head on the guy on the 5th. All our green, or orange!, waste from the kitchen ends up in the compost.

Nice haul Doug, I only grew my own once or twice but always felt that took up too much space for something that does not keep well. The squash we do grow is butternut squash. We have about 20 in the grarage and they easily keep for 10 or even 12 months.
