• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

This is me !

OK .. so I haven't posted any pics yet .. this is the sort of thing I do all day every day ...

Photo Frame with initials

Home made CNC machine ...

MOD EDIT : I've fixed the youtube link for you. When you want to add a youtube link there's a button above the text window, press that and it inserts the youtube tags, then you look at your URL and copy the apparently random set of characters that appears after the = and paste them between the tags, et voila.

Really interesting!

Have I missed the WIP on the home made CNC machine?

The blanks look really good.

But I bet I'm not the only one who'd like to see how the machine was made!

so how does the you tube linking work ?

and .. I have a build thread on various forums of the CNC .. jut haven't had the time to copy it all over to here yet !

OK. I'll be patient!!

I'm not sure whether it's my machine (Mac Mini) or my connection or the file, but it played for about 3 seconds and then I got the grey circle of perpetual waiting! I kept nudging forward and kept getting another couple of seconds. Never had that before.

I've fixed it for you, see your original message.

I believe that Frank Howarth did a video series on the building of his CNC machine too, if that's any interest.

there are thousands of builds out there

if you are interested, then you need to look at them all ! lol .. rather than just copy one :-)

My Build was based on skip diving ! lol ..
My Dad was working at a machining place and saw these in a skip ..

so my design and size was based on what I had to hand ..
made for a cheap build ! lol ..
and surprisingly .. this "prototype" is still running all day every day 3 or4 yrs later ..
I cant remember now .. time just passes without letting me know ! lol

thanks mark .. but you should teach , rather than do ! lol

just the last but without the url !

I did! Read your original message, there's a full explanation, in great detail, at the bottom…

If I were being picky about it I could point you here, or suggest you hover your mouse over the youtube button where the full instructions would pop up in a little yellow box. But I'm not being picky, so I won't. :eusa-whistle:
