Whilst visiting Snowdonia (apologies to the Welsh) last Autumn, our daughter bought my wife and I a box of fudge which some nice pictures of Snowdonia on it. The size of the box was 9 inches by 6 inches. Opening the box, the packet inside measured 6 inches by 4 inches, i.e. less than half the size of the box, and contained a total of about 25 small pieces of fudge. Further inspection of the box revealed that the fudge wasn’t even locally made. Although the “Kitchen” was in Devon, the fudge itself was made in the EU. It looks as if the boxes are generic and you can stick any postcard you like on it to make it seem as if it’s a local product. Why, when it's presumably not hard to find fudge makers in the UK, do you import it from the EU - cheaper presumably.
