• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

There's a thread over on UKW about this router becoming difficult to height adjust. I happened to need to use my table mounted one the other day and I'd quite forgotten what a dismal dispiriting experience it is trying to finely or even coarsely adjust the height once the Triton has been used a bit.

I've tried cleaning out the teeth and cogs but the design is fundamentally a very weak one IMO and I would never buy another Triton. I see I posted a thread about it back in 2014 and on reflection never managed to satisfactorily repair it - hence why I hardly ever use it.
 
Hope I'm not speaking too soon but I've never had a problem with mine. Fine and coarse adjustment work fine and I've never had it apart to clean it. I did take the springs out when I first got it but nothing done to it since.

I wonder how much use yours has had relative to mine? Also, if your internals are all metal then that works in your favour. I replaced my plastic ones with metal but the overall affect is still dire.

+1, mine has been 100% for several years. Like Robert, I took the springs out as it lives in the table.
 
You probably use yours more than I have ever used mine which belonged to the late Barry Burgess back in 2007. The springs have been removed all that time and I do not have a problem with adjustment either.

Argee (Ray Girling) over on UKW was the font of all knowledge regarding Triton stuff might be worth contacting him.

Hi Andy...I've already been in touch with Ray, thanks. TBH it has not had that much use.
