I interpreted that description, combined with the stock being 50mm wide in the photos, to be inside and outside measurements for the blade of 200 and 250 respectively. Using the same picture for multiple variants is pretty common on Amazon these days; you can't really rely on images for product details any more.

I’m expecting it to be the size in the picture. This is perhaps a better image.

Ah. That's clearer. It seems to be a foot long, or ten inches/254mm to the stock.

Good job someone provided a proper image.

I expect you can complain to Amazon that it's not as described, and get your money back.

I bought a 400 mm one that was spot on
They are not the best finished things in the world but for the price they can’t be beaten.

Many of us tend to use the outside of the square most often but apparently the edge that is tested for B.S. square is the inside edge, so even a really good/expensive one might not necessarily be 100% on the outside.

That little Bahco is a cracking tool for the money - the nut doesn't seize like the Stanley one I have which is either loose or jammed, and the scribing pin actually screws in so it might last more than the few days they usually last. :eusa-clap:

It arrived today and I’m well pleased with it. The blade is quite thick and not at all flexible. Absolute bargain at the price I paid.

I have two different lengths of that one, they're OK. They tend to pivot because of the 45°top but that encourages you to hold the stock in tight, but that's good practice anyway. My friend had one and broke it in two days.
I'm delighted with the little Bahco one - far away better than the Stanleys.

I bought a couple of Bahco ones, on recommendation (a certain YouTuber, whom I regard highly), but I think with success has come higher volume production and a noticable drop in quality. One was far from square, and t'other's bubble was way off correct. Neither was good. Also the blades both had nasty sharp edges, including the groove for the clamp, although a light application of a stone helped that.

I kept the square-ish, bad-bubble, one and bought a Presch one for best, which is excellent (both square and correctly reading level), although it only has metric markings. The body is heavier and slightly wider than the Bahco ones, too, which is helpful.

I note the Presch ones have got quite a lot more expensive recently, so probably aren't the bargain I thought when I bought mine, although I'd buy another as first choice.

I'm not sure why I kept the Bahco one, but it is pretty close to square and a stopped watch is right twice daily...

I was going to compare the blade on the new Starrett (it’s quite thick) with my old fixed blade Bahco of similar size. After a quick hunt I remembered that I threw it away. :lol: I had managed to square up and re-peen the rivets on the Bahco but I still didn’t trust that it would stay that way. It was pretty nasty construction anyway with cheap plastic scales either side of the body. At over 5 times what I paid for the Starrett I can’t recommend them.

I have that square and like it a lot. Great price, light but not flimsy. I reach for it more than my engineers square.
