• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Unusual Sideboard - FINISHED darn thing!

Nice work Paul. I reckon that needs some kind of EDPM floor put in it otherwise as others have said, a couple of wee wee accidents and their house will be stinking!!

Is the floor easily replaceable if required?

I decided to seal it afterall. On delivery today, the clients said their hounds are fully house trained and they don't expect any whoopsies in the kennel.

The floor is permanent, but now sealed. They might glue down some kind of flooring.

A colleague and me delivered the old lump today and we had a right old laugh trying to lift the darn thing! My mate Tim just couldn't lift his end, so I called in another colleague and so Andy & Tim were at one end and I was at the other end all on me lonesome. By golly... it was an absolute dead weight! :x

At the other end, my client (a 6'-7" chap) helped Tim and me lift it into the house. I was polite enough again to take one end by myself while the client and Tim took the other end. I was pretty glad to get that bugger in its resting place I can tell you! :P

Anyways, here's the house.

Here's the kitchen with a snug at the other end where the kennel now lives. You can also see the client and Tim - language Timothy! You can also see the ar$e end of my bus which was great as we didn't have that far to travel.

I'm now going to make a pair of oak garage doors for them in a few weeks.

No joy with the Tiger Oak just yet, but early days.

Strange looking house with that big chimney stack - but looks expensive.
Seems weird to lock the doggies in a cage.

Cheers Andy, yes I agree with you, but I didn't want to say anything to the clients. It was originally going to go behind the red sofa where I think it would look much better. Perhaps they're thinking the dogs will be more comfortable in the kennel with the doors open while the family are sat in that part of the room chatting or whatever. 8-)

Cheers Rod. Yep, currently at around £2.5m. A few miles down the road at Sandbanks, it would be around £9m :shock:

The doggies will only be locked in the kennel occasionally for about an hour here n there. 8-)

Was there a reason not to assemble the stables on site rather than struggle with all that weight ?

I was thinking about the finish on the floor considering a accident with the pooches, they could always
Cover the floor with a vinyl turned up cove at the edges and have welded corners., just a thought.

Yes that is a strange interior and furniture for the house ....except the kennel 8-)

Cheers Paul - by the way, have you caught anything yet? :P

I didn't want to go the 'flat pack' route and the client's doors open so wide, the kennel had to be on big lump.

I sealed the kennel's floor and the houndies' beds are so big they only just fit onto the floor. They are apparently 100% house trained. I shall be back there in a couple of weeks, so it will be interesting to see how they're doing. 8-)

Cheers Jim, no, the dogs had been let out - "Oo let the dogs out!" They're a pair of softies really.

I shall certainly sow more seeds. I've already learnt with these clients, they keep things very close to their chest and they seem very laid back. Knowing myself only too well... on the day and with a given opportunity, I shall probably ask them outright. :P
