• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I have just purchased a Wadkin C6 bandsaw and although it is in ok condition I am going to give it a lick of paint, does anybody know the RAL code for the colour?

Merlin

The easiest way to get the correct colour is to take a piece of tin ware from the machine, preferably somewhere that hasn't been exposed to stuff. And take it to a motor factors which mix paint for bodyshop guys. They can then colour chip it to exact colour. They can even put the paint in aerosols

I will do that in the week, it would have been handy for the code so I could have ordered it first.
Cheers, Merlin

Merlin, nice bandsaw, but the colour would depend on the age of the machine, does it have a bursgreen or white square thomas robinson group badge ? as the green colour did change.

It's got a big plastic white sign riveted to the top door.
I went to the paint shop last night and got some paint, I went for the Fern green - RAL 6025.
I will post some pictures soon, as per usual I end up stripping things down so it is a total refurb.
