• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

What a great guy...

I had the very great pleasure of a visit to the 9fingers workshop(s) yesterday and what a real pleasure it was. It was really nice to get a look around Bob's metal and wood working 'shops, the number of brilliant ideas was too much for my little brain. I'm also sure that Bob must have seen the strain as I tried to follow some of the technical details of many of the neat little gizmos he had created, but being a true gent he was more than happy to re-explain things when I didn't get it and I'm sure held back much of the more complex ideas that would have just resulted in a sort circuit in my grey matter!

Anyway, I just wanted to take the opportunity to give a little public thanks to Bob, for yesterday and all the helpful posts and answers to my questions since I have joined TWH2.

Terry.

Yeah, but you didn't look in the freezer, did you. NEVER look in his freezer. And don't, whatever you do, go down into the cellar with him.....

;) :D

Thanks Terry and glad that you enjoyed the visit. You must have caught me on a good day

Mike, it is only on subsequent visits that the Freezer and Cellar comment become appropriate - once the victim/visitor has been lulled into a false sense of security!
