Well, I've been very blessed this year.

I've received the new Aspire Premium Kit - designed for the vapour brigade of this world - fab!. A gorgeous leather case for my other vapour stuff, a stylish green velvet waistcoat (great addition to my collection), an 'ansome shirt, a burr walnut gear knob for the Jag, a leather cleaning/dying kit for Betty, a kit of sketching pencils, a wooden USB stick (I likes it), robust outdoor gloves, a mug with a monkey on it (very apt), a digital clock that's powered by potatoes (very cool), lots of chocolate and sweeties, chocolate cookies with its own pair of dunking tongs, socks and under garments. Lovely jubbly!

2016 Guide Hachette des Vins, CD Beethoven violin concerto (Anne-Sophie Mutter), various alcoholic items and a beautiful comb hand carved from horn.

Bought Isabelle a bike so we could cycle together, just back from a 25km circuit of local villages - lovely !

I got this one which was on offer at rutlands earlier in the month.

It will only get hobby use for glazing beads on my bookcases to start with and what ever else might come up such as attaching mouldings in the future.

Not had chance to try it yet. I'll try and remember to post a review when I do.

Seems Freeman is a US brand and gets favourable reviews from woodworkers over there. I already had an 18g nailer but the combo price of the pair was pretty good so I might sell my current 18g nailer sometime. I bought it in the US years ago but it has had a gentle life and no known faults.

I got the Ladybird book "The Shed", some marzipan, and absolutely nothing else. I couldn't be happier with my christmas, unless of course we'd two cakes instead of one, and 400 mince pies instead of a measley 200.......

Six cheap and cheerful Rutlands sash clamps (look pretty good value for money based on initial inspection); scary sharp starter pack; some work holder triangle thingies; glue brushes; and, a few non-wood working bits and bobs.

But top gift has to be my tabletop 'curling' set. Plastic sheet ilo ice, plastic / ball bearings 'stones', but the hit family entertainment on Christmas Day. SWMBO turned out to be a dab hand and won the family tournament :eusa-clap: .

The worst present was a book ...Windows 10 for Dummies.. Never thought I would need that.

Picked up some lumps of lignum vitae. They are very round at the moment so I expect a thread or too soon about how best to cut them up and reuse.

I am not normally a blues or jazz listener but her voice is something else. Highly recommend.

Nice Andy. For me that would be about perfect when I have a bit of 'me time' to read a book with the fire crackling away beside me - probably means I would listen to it about once a year :lol: .

Terry he went by the username Modernist & was a regular on a few forums until a dispute on one forum caused a few like minded souls to give up on forums which has been a real shame, After this as Mark says Brian set up his Facebook forum.
