• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Sent out a fairly detailed brief to a load of them. One started responding quite quickly but..... First email 24 MB !! Three properties. Two way outside the brief. Second email 40MB :o ....Four properties ...including two from the first email..the two that were way outside the brief.

So that left one property ...a quick look at the OS map and no way, hosay. OK..that's not her fault as the requirement wasn't in the brief and even if it was it assumes that they can read an OS map !! The Herefordshire trail goes right the way through the middle of it and we've had it with footpaths and walkers.

Estate agents will send out almost anything that is only vaguely similar to the brief. Must be even worse now that there is no cost/effort required to send it.

I used to have the same problem with recruiting agencies. We were a very high tech Research and development company only taking on top notch staff (a new policy imposed after I joined   )
Agencies would send through details of complete brain donors - useless for our needs.
The whole reason why we used an agency was to pre-filter applicants and only send on the likely ones.

Good Luck with your search.

Saying that .. we are living in our current house we never would have seen if we didn't type the wrong post code into a search ! we had just come back from Venice .. this house cropped up next to a canal .. 300ft canal side garden - non tow path side :) .. we joked about gondolas and the like .. we were in within 3 weeks !

I've been lucky in not having to use them for selling though I did use one to rent a
Property when we moved down south - he let us down badly!
First job from University so no money, new bank as the Yorkshire Bank didn't have a presence down here - insisted on a Bank Reference which the Bank couldn't provide as the coffers were pretty empty and I wouldn't be paid for 6wks - so no flat! Trying to reason with them fell on deaf ears.
Not counting our eventual flat move, the last and only house move, we sold privately - that was 40yrs ago - I found the house during my travels and dealt with the builder direct and his solicitors. I found our first house that way too [emoji3]
