• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

It's fantastic to see this forum resurrected - well done Mark and the rest of the team :eusa-clap: . I've only just found you folks.

I've been off the scene for a few years due to, well, a lack of enthusiasm for woodwork. Since then I've donated most of my workshop to Age UK (the Bromsgrove branch can now do fab carpentry for its elderly population) and a few months ago I moved house to the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

It's lovely here but there's no space in my little bungalow for a proper workshop. Nevertheless, my family (which is now local :) ) is keen for me to start mangling wood again and my brother has shown a distinct glimmer of interest, so it's possible that the two Hegner scroll saws I've retained might yet see action again. In the meantime, I hope you don't mind me lurking and chipping in ('scuse the pun :eusa-doh:) occasionally.

Hi Gill

Good to hear from you and a warm welcome from me as well.

Roger

Hello again Gill and a warm welcome.

To use those Hegners you do not need a workshop just a good dust extractor. :D

Looking forward to seeing some of you excellent scrolling soon.
