Not to sure whether this should be in the finishing thread anyway I made and fitted a window with two openers and finished with couple of coats of Osmo only a light coat for the second and that was exterior only, this was back in the summer and now following a fair bit of rain both openers inner edge are catching the mullions.
The openers are externally hinged so I did take some material off the inner edge of the casement to allow clearance when swinging out but maybe not enough.
My questions are on a opener of approx. 350mm width how much clearance is acceptable prior to fitting also should I be finishing with two good coats Osmo and finally I going to have to remove a little bit more material from inner edge only just enough to clear as I’m guessing it will shrink back is sanding the best minimalist option or Trim router?
