• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. I need to make 3 round 600mm wide table tops for Son’s church to replace MDF tops on a metal frame.
First resource is this forum and also yonder forum.

That gave me what I need to do, maybe not in detail.
So I searched my wood folders and also did a Google search.
First found a PDF downloaded from Popular Woodworking “How to Rout a Large Arc.”

Google search - AI then started asking questions:
What type of wood - Laminated Pine board 600mm wide and 2400mm long.
How large is the diameter - 600mm
What machines will be used - Router and/or jigsaw.
Thickness of board – 20mm.
And more answers and more questions.
Also a sketch for a router jig.
'We' also covered finishing, staining and sealing.

I then did a CNTRL P and printed it all to PDF, 18 pages long. (embarrassing, I cannot see where I filed on the laptop)

Also found a link to Instructables “How to cut circles – 4 methods”. It had nice pics of the cutting jig.

After all that information I could not find any good excuse for not trying, and will do a short WIP on the table tops.
 
Interesting Phil. Hope it works out and will follow your WIP with interest.

Some time ago I did a Google AI 'ask' for the fliptop workbench for the Triton TPT125 thicknesser - just as out of curiosity as I'd already worked out the size *for my available space*. It came up with the dimensions of the thicknesser and for the parts for the unit... sadly not any line drawings.

I've got it saved somewhere on the tablet...

Found it - asked Google where 😇
