So I'll keep it brief.

I've got this for. It's a modern spin on some "Spice Drawers" that I've loosely copied from a book. More details next time.

All reclaimed from an old bed and an ash built in unit.

I have found adding photos tricky, even when I reduce them. I'm sure I'll figure it out!

Ah I see. Outside my skillset, I'm afraid.

One thing that helped me with getting photos right was to always have the go button either at the bottom or the right when taking the pics on an iPhone. Bit late for all your library sorry.

No need to resize photos when uploading from your phone, in my experience. The add-in that resizes image files is much newer than the rest of the forum software.

If you can cut multiple half blind dovetails you can definitely sort out the 'photo posting. :eusa-clap:

Great. You're getting the hang of posting photos. How about a few photos of the joints? And maybe a comment on why you chose to do half-blind dovetails rather than full (through) dovetails.

There you go Mike!

I had to scratch my head a bit to make the most of the wood. I felt the half blind gave continued grain when viewed from the side.

I didn't have enough well matched stock for the horizontal, so the joinery distracts and adds some interest when viewed from the top.

The half blinds were also helpful for hiding the groove for the backs.

The front, when done, will add some contrast.

Thanks for the extra pictures and explanation, it all makes sense now.
It's an interesting contrast to the original, which looks like it was designed to be much quicker to make - you could knock out those through housings really quickly with a dado plane and the dark stain normalises whatever grain patterns are there.

The piece I plan to make after this will be a bit more "direct".

That's why I enjoy the book I took inspiration from. So many items in there are made quickly to serve a purpose and last.

Hopefully get to some drawer making soon.
