• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

wifey takes her mum out every week to the boot and hall sales.
sometimes she brings back something useful !
we have an old house, circa 1800 .. so we have all sorts of odds and ends about cluttering up the place ! lol

this "thing" has us stumped ??

anyone know what it is ??

it's approx 13" long

sort of like a spoon, but the inside is not polished.

one end bigger then the other ...

not a shoe horn either, as there is a lip on the end ...

any ideas ?

I googled the coal shovel thing, and yes, the end does look similar :-) ta ..

part of the joy of new pressies is finding out what they are ! .. usually I like to solve it myself ... but need help with this one !

I always tell her , I'm like bagpuss ! ..

she brings me things to find out what they are and fix them up :D

AND ! we have a pump organ in the living room, as a tv stand !

Is it a "spoon" for smoothing old leather boots? I have never used one but have been told about them. You heat it up and then use it to iron the leather before applying spit and polish.[emoji615]
