As many know I am a member on many woodworking forums one being the Woodwork Forum in Australia well they just run a competition and I managed to win but only due to the first person selected did not claim the prize in an allotted amount of time so it was re-drawn and I was the very lucky man.

Anyway I think that you are wondering what I won well take a look at these the set is priced at $125AD and they have been kind enough to post them to me as well.

I am one very happy man as I own two Japanese saws and they are great to use.

They do...a few years ago I won a comp in PWW and Megan Fitzpatrick shipped me a signed copy of 'The Anarchist's Toolchest' as a prize - Rob

Nice haul, there. They're not cheap. My favourite style is the third one down as I find the others flex too much although more likely a reflection of a lack of technique on my part.

I already have a couple of Japanese saws one has a back and the other does not when I first started to use the one without it took me a while to get used to the pull instead of the push as we do with our style saws.

Well the good news they are on the move as they have given me a tracking number but how far it will track it is another matter

I've been using the ones from Workshop Heaven for years now. Once you get used to them and the way they cut, you won't go back to a Western style saw. The saws with a back are for precise cutting (I have both a rip and cross-cut back saws) whilst the saw without a back can be used for more general work - Rob

He also does the same brand that I will be receiving so getting replacement blades will be OK :eusa-dance:
