Looks like American Black Walnut...could be wrong though. When you assemble the pic into the frame I suggest you use UV/ anti-reflective glass which will cancel out all reflections when you stand directly in front of it. A piece as shown in the pic above would be roughly £20
ish in the UK which is expensive, but for a favourite photo of her dad it's well worth the outlay....and you'll collect extra brownie points.
There should be a fraction more paper/ mount at the bottom compared to the top; gives visual 'weight' as shown in a couple of Win Pooh pics done a while back, so the image should be slightly above the centre point:

über sticky brown tape (available from Bezos) to keep the 'thunderbugs' out and polypropelyne picture cord;
