• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I just looked on the intel site and there is a much newer driver for that graphics - dated 2022. The Intel update probably didn't find it because your PC as i now see is Dell and dell have their own update system. Ahh I see you are already there while I was typing! Fingers crossed.

You have Intel chip and Graphics. Do you have 'Intel Driver and Support assistant' as a program on your start menu? If not download it from intel (search the name) and run it. It will check your system and tell you if you have out dated drivers for video and possibly wifi too if that is intel...

Do you have a mobile phone that has cellular data? i.e. internet when you are out and about? And does it work at home if you have no wifi? If so use the phone to make a wifi 'hot spot' (settings- connections- mobile hot spot- usually). Then connect your PC wifi to this new wifi from the phone...

OK so lets eliminate or confirm internet video as the problem. Here is a video file straight from my camera. It is 4k 25fps MP4 Video and about 300MB. I have put it in a zip file so that your browser should download it and not play it. Unzip it (right click it extract) and see if it plays...

So... you don't have a graphics card. Intel 530 is a part of the main cpu chip. Not a problem for most normal use and certainly capable of playing 4k 60hz videos. The fact that it isn't makes me think overheating. 2 likely causes - the fins on the cpu cooler are blocked with fluff or more...

I've been away so late to this. Sorry for your loss.

    Stripped thread ..

Crush the lug with a mole wrench. It might buckle or it might just squidge the hole oval. Either way you should be able to cut enough of the right size thread for a screw to hold.

Your download ping seems really slow in that speedtest you posted. mine- May not be the problem but seems wrong maybe.

Have you tried a local video file played from your hard drive? That would show if it is internet connection problems. Running badly then crashing - just crashing the player or the whole system? What graphics card is it? They do go wrong sometimes. Is intense CAD work running ok?

    Endoscope

Problem with the one I have is knowing which way up your view is. Once you lose the right way up (because you are busy straightening the semi stiff cable) it is hard to work out which way to move or twist to make progress.

    15th century Aumbry in Poplar

Long time since I've been camping. back then we had a fold out wire camp kitchen thing that always seemed ready to fall over. Much prefer your solution. Does it double as a dining table too when the cooking is done?

There's a moose loose aboot this hoose

I've done battle with old cameras like that and it's just not worth the effort. I'd suggest a TP link tapo wifi camera from amazon for 20.99 which will just work.

There's a moose loose aboot this hoose

In the early days of my business we made industrial fly killers at a customers request. The first prototypes had a problem. The insect having been electrocuted stays on the wires and starts to fry - some then catch fire and so did the plastic insulator keeping the wires spaced. Hope your mouse...

There's a moose loose aboot this hoose

Get a cheap indoor wifi camera with night vision from Amazon and a small micro SD card and set it to record on movement. Then you will see what you are up against and know when they are gone. Back when I had a factory I used to buy kitkat by the box at the cash + carry and leave the box next to...

    USB charging

I'd suggest asking family and friends if they have a charger they don't want - preferably one that came with a decent brand name (just so you feel safer leaving it unattended). Any charger will charge your torch. A higher current one might do it faster but does speed matter? Can't see it harming...

Epoxy questions for a slowing things down hack?

I'd suggest wrapping the edges of your steel plate with sellotape or better still packaging tape and filling your gap with the plate in situ. The tape will not stick to epoxy. Only do one side at a time not all at once. That way you can get the plate out and sand the epoxy so there is no ridge...

    Home-baking gluten free loaf

I don't think the yeast is that important as i used to use supermarket packets when I started bread making. Now i buy fermipan from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fermipan-Instant-Dried-Yeast-500g/dp/B07K91GYJG/ I empty the packet into a click lid plastic container and keep it in the...

    Jeyes fluid

I suggested Bin Buddy as it removes the bad smell and leaves a scented bin. No cleaning required. Our wheelie bin doesn't get cleaned and doesn't smell.

    Jeyes fluid

Our old sick cat took a liking to peeing on puppy pads instead of going outside. they made the bin smell. i bought some stuff called Bin Buddy from Amazon. It worked well. I expected to get through a lot of it so bought the 3 pack. turns out one pack lasted longer than the cat... which was...
