So Pam’s son and family are moving out of their New York apartment and we were there to fix a couple of niggles before putting it on the market.
This problem was at the top of a spiral staircase where the floor just didn’t meet up with the landing floor, between an eighth and a quarter of an inch gap and a seriously warped board sticking up just where your foot would catch it.
No before pics sorry, the warped board was dealt with by cutting with the grain a couple of times with a handsaw to relieve the stress and the screwing it down flat from underneath.
Before starting work l just had a little nap after the drive ( a small one honestly ) and it occurred to me in my semi consciousness that I could use the sawdust from the stress relief mixed with wood glue and - inspiration- Ground Coffee to fill the gap at the top of the stairs, well after a quick trial I changed it to coffeee grounds mixed with Its Not Nails, worked SO well! I was really chuffed with myself.
