Old Oak
I made this this wall cabinet just over a year ago to hold all the belts & bits for the Pro Edge plus centres, callipers etc for the lathe, it’s really been useful

So I figured it would be a good idea to make another one for my turning tools. Not liking to throw away any timber I had some used pine door frames which were not just ideal but also nice & dry

After planing up I made up some simple frames

Before gluing up I ran a rebate & fitted some Oak veneered MDF panels, once assembled they were cleaned up.

The doors were attached with piano hinges, pine pieces fitted to form a well & magnetic strips stuck to the panels which were clad each side with pine.

I then glued some maple veneer to the pine also sticking the veneer to the magnets with double sided tape & set in clamps

After a good sanding & wax polishing the cabinet was hung on the wall

Couple of photos of the finished cabinet
