I’m using Migration Assistant to transfer data from Late 2009 iMac to new Mac mini via cat5e ethernet cable at a dizzyingly slow speed of 10mb/s .
Am I right in thinking that no matter how “fast” the cable is the ethernet port in the old iMac could be restricted to just 10mb/s?
At current rate I’ve more than 8 hours to wait and it’s been going an hour already. Not much I can do about it now and it is no big deal just curious as I had high hopes of much faster setup.
