Need help chaps. Long story short, the length of pipe that my drainage pump slides up and down for maintenance removal, then re-seating against its exit pipe has rusted away and fallen off its mount.
I need to order a replacement but I don’t know what it’s likely to be made of, or what I should use instead.
I’ve chopped a piece off and it looks like some kind of steel, clearly not stainless as it’s rusted.
Pipe length is just over 3.9m.
OD is approx 1 1/16”
Wall thickness 0.1”
So what I need is:
What is it?
Where can I get another one?
Anything else I should use instead?
I know the same will rust again but given this one has lasted 15+ years I’m not overly bothered about that.
Replacement size isn’t critical to be identical, the inner diameter is the key as that sits over a raised nub then a bracket with the sale nub is screwed into the wall at the top to hold it and the pump claw slides over so a midges whisker in size difference won’t harm.
Cheers
Mark
