Nah..not tough enoughBet you loved 'cowboys and indians' as a callow yoof...
I tried a book once and got as far in as the end of the first page. 'Nuff said; not quite Conan Doyle- RobDaughter a big fan and has read all the books. Watched last night, some of the dialogue is almost comical, eg the police and snap crackle and pop interviews.
Don't recall seeing - but always willing to give a go on someone's recommendationHow about Small Prophets ,Frank?

Superb. Both of them were absolutely wonderful. I'm looking forward to another series of Small Prophets. Both of those series were so subtle and gentle that I don't think any non-English would get them at all.How about Small Prophets ,Frank?

Sorry, I should have said non-British. The Spanish and Swedish branches of our family didn't get it at all.You underestimate the non-English.
Prize open that wallet and pay a little to skip the adsJust watched Episode 1. Loved it. My only gripe is the constant interruptions for adverts for sanitary products and Pampers!

NiceThe pendulum swings both ways. Of the dozen or so British we know here, only one recognized the significance of the number plate on my German wife's car.

Finish Small Prophets then go to Detectorists. Enjoy each on their own merits without the other stealing any of your concentration.Well... series 1, episode 2 "Small Prophets" watched last night... getting to that stage must mean it's *got my attention*.
Do I now continue or track down "Detectorists" before doing so... you're getting my curiosity going...
(Had your break yet?)

Did you miss the first two series, Steve?I've just binge-watched two more episodes of Reacher. It's the afternoon and I have work I should be doing.
I've just seen Reacher naked from the waist up and I now realise why I didn't pass the audition...

Excellent movie that. Ludicrous and you need to suspend all thoughts of authenticity as you say, but a jolly good romp nonetheless. If you enjoy the fight scenes from Reacher you might also like Alan Ritchson in a very similar role in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare also on Amazon. Just don’t let the facts get in the way of a true story.
I'll have to try that, thank you.Excellent movie that. Ludicrous and you need to suspend all thoughts of authenticity as you say, but a jolly good romp nonetheless.
